Report on Sandbagging May 2-5

posted May 11, 2011, 11:01 PM by Mac Sims   [ updated May 11, 2011, 11:23 PM ]

Last week's 4 nights of sandbagging was a great success, and Lehi CERT performed superbly!  Every evening was staffed with 10-12 CERT members that managed the three areas of parking, check-in/check-out, and safety.  Everything went quite well with very little delays in getting volunteers checked-in and checked-out.  Approximately 2000 sandbags were filled each night and usually took a little over an hour to complete.  Here are some stats from these service events:

CERT Members: 25 (some came multiple nights)
CERT Hours: 85

Volunteers: 246
Volunteer Hours: 246

Thanks to all who came and served.  City officials are very impressed with the organization and service of our CERT team.
